Are comic folders supposed to be this large? AS contains 3 issues. DH contains 6 issues. And PG contains HALF an issue, but to be fair, it has more going on in terms of color than AS or DH. PG is a FAT baby… er… healthy… it’s a HEALTHY baby.

I suppose I should probably back these up soon.

Grissom posted this to his blog yesterday, which means I get to do it today! It’s a character sketch for a character in the upcoming Planet Gigantic #1.

Some other stuff goin’ on.

Armstrong related picture for an unrelated Armstrong project. This makes me want to draw up an entire yearbook for the class… now that the idea is in my head, I’ll probably try to do it.

I just realized I don’t post enough Deadhorse to this site. It’s been such a huge learning experience looking at a comic from just a color perspective rather than inks, and also so much fun.

Much of that “fun” has to do with Phil Sloan’s artwork – when I started it, I didn’t realize just HOW awesome it was. Coloring a page has me staring at it for sometimes several hours at a time, which then gives me a chance to really appreciate all the intricacies that go with it.

Sketching and brainstorming are always way more fun than doing the actual work, right? …which is why I use warm ups for that.

Warmed up with a possible new character for the Armstrong AFTER Ballad. I don’t think she’ll be a random guest character either – for the story I’ve been kicking around, she might be completely incorporated into the gang.

Wide panel from AS04.
